Default zo6 cold air screens

Ok i got some new Zo6 screens. Do i just need to cut out the fog light surrounding, use some double sided sticky tape and push them in to place? Or is there more to it?

Thanks.

Do you want cold air intake?.... If you do find the template to drill it full of holes then use Velcro not 2 sided tape. If you do a search you'll find how to's for both of them... I think patches posted something not too long ago.

You can remove it completely intact. The tough part is removing the radiator shroud. It takes some time, but it facilitates installation of the VR-2b cold air induction.

I took mine out, put in the VaraRam and the Z06 screens with Velcro for easy removal and cleaning. For Step by step instructions, go to vararam.com Best,

I removed the foglight shrouds quite a while back and put the screens in place with Velcro. I have since added the VaraRam but that didn't affect the screen installation.

Hook side of the velcro goes on the fascia, top and bottom edges.

Loop side of the velcro on the bezels to keep from scratching the paint. Use sheets of cardboard or wax paper between the velcro mates to install the bezels and then pull the sheets out to allow it to catch.

That is what I did. Cut out the back part of the schoud and used double sided sticky tape, worked fine. This winter I will use set screws to put the screens in place.

I have a Blackwing filter on my 2001. When I installed the Z06 screens, I put the car on ramps and removed the access (black valance) panels on the bottom side of the front bumper facia below the front brake cooling ducts and the screws that hold the painted facia to the black radiator support in the center. This gives access to the back side of the bumper to remove the fog light defelector. You need to remove the fog light to be able to get the defelector out. It's only one or two bolts. Once the valance is out the fog light is replaced. I installed my screens using the clips like are used on the Z06 from the factory three on top and bottom. I got the clips from the dealer about 50 cents each. The factory uses two clips on top and two screws on bottom. I did not want to make holes in the bumper facia in case I wanted to return it to origional. It looks like velcor will work or double sided tape. Now you can put the remaining parts back in place.

I just installed my screens (w/ velcro), but I didn't do anything yet to the foglight shroud. I want to cut/drill openings in them. Can this be done with them still in place? Is there anything directly behind them that I might damage? Or am I just being too lazy and should remove them and cut after they are out of the car?

I removed the plastic pieces when I had to rebuild my headlight motors. You can screw the the z06 screens in place without taking off the bumper or having a lift after removing your headlights but its was a huge PITA.
