Default Pirelli vs. Goodyear - Opinions?

I'm in the market for new tires for my 03' Coupe. I'm considering either the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S or the Goodyear F1 G3-D3's. Any information on your experiences with either tire would be greatly appreciated! (Note: I'm installing the stock sizes, 245/45-17 in front, 275/40-18 in back) Thanks in advance for any help!

Owner feedback at Tire Rack rates the F1 GS-D3s as the #1 tire in C5 sizes.

I have them and they are awesome. Corners that used to scare me on my SZ50s are now taken with ease. I highly recommend them.

The BFG KD's are the best dry tire and the Pirelli Neros are the best wet tire, but the Goodyear GS-D3 is the best all around High Performence tire for the Corvette. So I have been told.

I'm about to by a set of Bridgestone Pole Position S3's. my research shows dry performance a bit better than D3's, and they'll last a lot longer than the soft BFG KD's.

also, the stock size Bridgestones rears are wider than the oversized (285/35) D3s.

for me, it was either the D3's or the S3's. I went with dry performance/wider....i.e., Bridgestone

Michelin Pilot PS2
Bridgestone Potenza S-03 PP
Goodyear Eagle F1

Any of the 3 will do nicely

Last time I looked the Nero's are all-season?

Default Tires

I replaced my Goodyear with Michelin Pilot (run flat) tires and love them. I had the Pirelli P-Zero on my Pantera they were a great tire but you won't get tha mileage out of them.

No one seems to be mentioning the Michelin XGT series tires.... They are rated as ultra high performance all season tires. I found a couple of customer feedbacks on the XGT's that were on C5's and they were all positive... Anyone ?

I have the GSD3s on my vert and love them
second set
cant compare to much other then runflats but i am pleased with wear on them grip and appearance
also i am selling them for dirt cheap
i can say wet performance is incredilbe i wanted to test it so i dumped the clutch in a wet parking lot and it gripped nearly as well as it would in dry

I replaced my EMTs with P-Zero Rosso. I don't drive my vette in the rain so it was easier to make the choice from Nero to P-Zero. I LOVE them! Grip like hell, wear like crap. but still worth the cost. If you decise on the P-Zero, make sure you get the Rosso. Same price but you also get that little red "P-Zero" marking. Looks great on a Vette

I couldn't agree more, I went from stock to PZeros and they feel like they have tentacles

I have heard the mileage is not much, but at least you can enjoy the performance, cornering is a breeze...and they look killer

just my .2¢

I did the same and love them. The car handles better, rides a little firmer and they are quiet.

P-Zero corsas are mad.. Grip like superglue!

Grip is inversly proportional to wear
