Default Steering Wheel Puller

Has anyone had to pull the wheel off of their car?

Where did you get a puller from. I check the local places and I cannot find one that will work.

I have bought a couple of the cheap ones and tried to modify them to make them work, but no luck.

The service manual lists them as follow:
J 1859-A Puller
J 42120 Legs

I am sure I can get one from the dealer, but prefer not to.

The puller required is not a normal thread in two bolts and tighten in the center one, I have one of those as well.. it is a type where the two legs outside rotate in and grab the back side of the plate... similar to the following... I could order of these, but hate to order it all the way from the UK.

TIA any help is much appreciated.

Why am I taking this off? Well I turning the steering wheel too far with the shaft off it and must have either broken something or pulled the plug out of something, when the car is on now the airbag light is staying on.

Well I answered my own question.

I found them at toolsource.com

They are part numbers:
71169
70679

It was about $40 including shipping.

Cool

I was going to recommend Kent-Moore 1-800-345-2233 but I doubt if they can beat the price you found
