Default Cut outs

Where in a header plus xpipe plus high flow cats system would you add cutouts? (electronically controlled) Clearance problems?

Just had mine installed before the rear crossmember (Think that's what it's called) After where the X-pipe bolts to the exhausts. There is a pic in QTP's Customer Cars section of their website...the yellow C5. I had the motors pointing outboard though. Haven't finished wiring them up and unfortunately have no pics of my own.

Dennis - ping MSU???Vette - he is in your neck of the woods (if memory serves) and has a mild cam + the cutouts.. That thing is way loud when you open up the cutouts. Good for an estimated 10 hp.

Thanks, Jeff.

Using the currently available electric cutouts, there really isn't room near the collectors. I attempted to use FLP's swap-in cutouts but, when I mounted the electric motors/valves, the clearance just wasn't there. I ended up putting them in the x-pipe as you see in the pics above. This was a custom install. You can now buy weld-in y-pipes from QTP along with their electric cutouts to splice right into your exhaust system.

Here's a shot of that setup.
