Sticky part down, not on your finger Was the alcohol pad wet, sometimes they dry out and are useless. Also try heating up the area with a blow dryer a little, it might be a little too cold. Good luck Want to see pics when done, where did you get decals from?

I used a cotton swab soaked in alcohol to clean out the indented areas real well and had no problem. I made sure that I dried everything properly before attempting to stick on the letters. It was around 60 degrees here too when I installed. I don't think temperature is the problem. I tried to avoid handling them too much, since the oil from your skin will definitely cause the glue to weaken. Use a dry swab to make sure everything is stuck well after positioning the decal.

I'll say one thing about those letters though - what a PITA to install! One has to be VERY careful not to rip those babies apart in trying to get them positioned properly.

Is your pad soaked with Isopropyl alcohol as in for medical use? I found that denatured alcohol works much better. Made this mistake once and found out that I needed those extra letters! Go to your local home improvement source and pick up a pint can; works for anything that needs to be cleaned for decals, double-sided tape, etc. Also, use the cotton swab technique to really clean the corners of the indentations. That seems to work much better...
