May be a dumb question but as I am about to re-pipe my 2004 Coupe from the Engine back (can't wait), heard this is the time to install a Backbone. Pictures I've seen show what appear to be 1,000 (may be exxagerated) bolts securring it to the tunnel. Are the holes included in the tunnel for the bolts? How does it install?
WIll get my money's worth on the Kwiklift I just purchased through the latest Group Buy.
Yes, do it while the exhaust is down. I did the Elite and it was very simple. If you have a nut driver (pneumatic or drill type) of some type it will go faster. Holes are all there.
I did long tubes last month and did the backbone at the same time. I got mine from Vettes n More, a vandor on this site, and it made an immediate difference in my 2004 vert. Much better feel over rough roads. a good, inexpensive, upgrade.
Its a piece of cake install even without a lift and even without a pneumatic. Well worth it even if you aren't already in the process of removing the exhaust.
