Hey guys. I've got my turn signals going bonkers on my car. They blink excessively fast and only the outter 2 of 4 are working properly. The fronts are also blinking wildly.
I just finished repainting my car so it sat exposed to the elements for about 2-3 weeks. It was under a car cover and plastic.
So far I have located Ground 402? on the rear outside drive frame rail, removed it, cleaned and retightened. I also have removed and cleaned the two ground points on the front beside the washer tank and the coolant puke tank.
The BCM is throwing codes of 2578 and 2583 which mention something about the front turn signals.
Since I had both the front and rear fascia, I checked the front fascia's harness real well. No pins are bent and everything appears to be making contact.
I also pulled the bulbs on every tail light and front turn signal. Nothing interesting there. They all light up.
The hazard switch itself goes bad ? Hmm, I bet that will be loads of fun. Thanks for the advice. I'll check that out if I don't hear any other easier options.
This might sound crazy but you should check/replace the bulbs. A burnt-out/broken bulb will cause the symptoms that you describe, the faster blinking.
It may seem hard to believe that all of the bulbs could go bad at one time but with the type of work I think you indicated you just had done it will be worth a check/see.
