Squealing AC blower motor - ??
Sounds like a bad bearing.
Anyone have this happen, and more importantly, how involved is it to get at the blower motor for a R&R? I don't really want to be tearing the whole dash panel out for this.

It's not that difficult.
There are two plastic retainers fasteners just under the passenger side dash. You have to pull them out, then you can wiggle out the trim panel that exposes the underside of the blower.
Make sure you disconnect the battery negative cable next before you go any further.
Then disconnect the PITA two wire power connector to the blower motor.
There is also a rubber cooling tube that goes from the blower motor to the A/C plenum...remove this also.
You now only have three small metric nuts to remove on the blower unit assembly.
The blower will then come out as a unit, motor, blower cage and mounting plate.
Buy a new blower assembly, it sells wholesale for a little over $100. I know cause the dealer I purchased the car from agreed to pay for it if I put it in.
Assembly is in reverse.
BTW, I used my wifes makeup mirror so I wouldn't have to work upside down
Good luck.

I just removed the blower fan assembly.
I drilled very small hole in the end of the motor case where the shaft rotated and squirted a small amount of oil in it.
It now works like a charm!!!!!!!!
My blower got wet when the AC Drain tubes pluged up.
It will save you some money and it is not a hard job R&Ring the the unit.
It took me about 20 minutes to get it out of the vehicle and another 15 or so to replace it.

Man,,,thats exactly what I did on my 85 Corvette! It worked like a champ!!
Yea,, Make damn sure you disconnect that battery!! If the motor case is grounded as you remove it, that fan will TEAR YOU UP!
It will go from 0-1740 rpm in less than 4.3 sec!!!

Did you drill this hole on where the "bottom" of the shaft would otherwise be? My chirps a little at the lowest speed. I oepened it up to find leaves in there, but it still chirps. What kind of grease? WD40 or PB blaster I feel would wear out too quickly...
My blower motor makes a faint cooing sound, like a pigeon is the only way I can describe it. The sound goes away when I shut off the A/C.

WD-40 or penatrating oil has solvents in it which will allow it to evaporate and will not last long as a lubricant. I also put a drop or two on the other end of the motor where the shaft exits the housing.
Swipe some of wour wifes sewing machine oil and that should take care of the issue.
