Default electric cutout pics

Those of you that have the electric cutouts, do you have pics of the installation?

I'm thinking of going this route so I can really quiet my car down for driving around on the street and open the cutout when it needs the extra power and sound etc.

I wonder if that would heat up the tranny any quicker in a road course situation... also I've head that the rear monoleafs don't like being subjected to constant heat, they'll delaminate.

I'm not sure if I like the angle the pipes are facing. I wonder when they are closed if they produce any turbulence?

i've pmed a couple other people about pics to see other installs

I am looking for cutouts just for 1/4 mile passes and for car meets etc when people want to hear the car.

I wont be using them for a prolonger period so I'm not too worried about the heat.

I would like to angle them to get the most power possible though.

here is another install pic

looks like this setup would flow better but i'd be nervous about space since I have a rearend brace and might also hurt ground clearance.

Take a look at this site http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/index.html

They are also under headers on the left side of this form.

Looks like ground clearance would be a major issue

Here's mine. I also have a DTE brace. It's close.

Ignore the mess. This is when I was still setting them up. I have turndowns that bolt onto the flange too (hence the RTV everywhere). These are dual 3" McCords.

Feel the same way.

Good pic of location on QTP's website under customer cars...the MY C5 shows putting them just after the exhaust/X-pipe connection...it's tight but will fit and can be angled down so the hot doesn't get to the laminated spring. Did mine this way Alsothey are placed on the outside of the bend so there is a greater likelyhood that all of the exhaust gasses will exit there rather than going to the mufflers, a fluid dynamics principle.
