Do you feel allot of "slop" with the 3500? What about the 4000, is it as loose as a goose on take off?
Depends on the rear end ratio. A 3500 with 3.42's will feel fine, with 3.73's will be tight. As for a 4000, I'd recommend at least 3.73's, if not 3.90's.

The Vigilante was not too bad. However, the PT4000 was another animal. It was, of course, for all out drag racing, but it did the job and never failed to satisfy. The around town mileage was about 3-4 mpg less than the Vigilante, but I never had a real apples to apples comparison, since my last setup was pretty extreme, although it was still somewhat streetable.
And, yes, it was loose as a goose, but I liked it that way. It surprised everyone that took a fancy to show their stuff. The high dollar Ferrari 550 Maranello owner was dutifully embarrassed in Plano one day when I caught up to him after he did a ricer flyby. It even surprised me.
....The extra fun factor makes whatever the difference is well worth it!! FWIW I still get around 28mpg @ 70mph on the fwy. Of course keeping your foot out of it is the problem that leads to extra fuel consumption

Your freeway mileage is not an issue for your T/C unless you are in stop and go rush hour traffic. Only effects mileage below the stall speed, right?
