I was cruising in my car today and I nailed it in first and hit second and
traction control and active handling ruined my fun. When that
happened, every small gauge on my dash went nuts. Every warning
light lit up, every message in the DIC went off. I shut the car down,
and waited five minutes, and all seemed well, except my driver side
window would not work. As a matter of fact, the whole panel on the
driver's door will not work (window, mirror, memory, etc.). What do
you guys think the problem is? Looks like a trip to the dealer. By the
way, the car is a 2003 Z06.
I bet you had a BAD case of wheel hop! Wheel hop will cause a lot of comotion on the dash. Check engine, service traction soon ect. If you did have wheel hop, it may have loostend a plug in the door. I would let the dealer take a lokk at it. Next time you want to play, put the car in "COMPENTATION MODE" Press and hold the traction mode button down, you will see the DIC display TRACTION OFF. If you dont release it, after 10-15 sec, it will switch to COMP MODE! You can play hard and spin the tires but you still have active handling to help keep the a$$ end straight.
