I'VE GOT A 97 THAT SEEMS TO HAVE A GHOST IN IT.
1. WHILE PARKED, THE PASSENGER SEAT WILL ADJUST ITSELF NOW AND THEN.
2. MY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON EVERY TIME ITS COLD OUTSIDE.
I HAD THIS FIXED ONCE TO THE TUNE OF A NEW UNIT @ $1800.00
TAKING IN FOR CODE CHECK THURS.
ANYONE HAVE PROBS WITH THESE???

I had the same issues with my 97. Changed the switch on the side of the driver seat and it worked fine.
I didn't have traction control lights going on and such. Is the switch clean? If you spill a coke on it it will malfunction.

You have a case of the "FLOATING CHASSIS GROUNDS! 
I had the "EXACT" same problems on my 98! It will only get progressively worse! My electrical problems became so bad that I could not drive the car!
Here are some preventative maintance actions that you can do to try to fix the issues.
I made this post a while back. It has helped many Forum members fix their Ghost!!!
