clutch leaking down when cold??

(7am) I start the car like normal, wait a minute or two for it to warm up slightly then put it in reverse and back out of my parking spot. Clutch pedal felt normal and it went into gear fine. By the time I was backed up as far as I needed to (only a few feet) the clutch was basically stuck on the floor and the car stalls. I put it in neutral, pump the clutch and start it back up...everytime I use the clutch for the next 10 minutes or so it seemed like it'd leak down or something. I was having to put it in neutral and pump the clutch everytime I came to a stop, I couldn't just stop with it in gear and the clutch down because the clutch would eventually engage and I'd start moving (or stall).
After the car got warmed up I didnt have this problem anymore and when I got back in it around 11am it was still working fine. The fluid in the clutch master cylinder was a lot darker than I've ever seen before--almost the color of used motor oil. Just bought this car a week or two ago and am pretty sure I can fix it fine...but its 23 degrees and snowing right now so I figured I'd ask you guys before I started working on it. Any ideas???

If the problem were in the slave cylinder, fluid would leak on to the ground and your reservoir would be low on fluid.
The darker fluid is a caused by heating the fluid and moister. Brake fluid likes to absorb moister lower the boiling temperature. Changing or flushing the fluid will correct the color problem but will not correct today’s problem.
