Default New to the forum

Hello, I'm new to the forum and new as a Vette owner. I picked up my first Vette, a C5 coupe 6 spd, this fall. My dad had several vettes back in the 60s, including a one off built for Duntov's (sp?) son. Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to drive them, but I had some great rides. I ended up racing SCCA for a while, but mostly british machines.
I can still remember the distainful term " plastic pachyderm" used in the pits, to put down the Vettes.
Boy, have times changed. I love my C5 and can't figure out why, after all the sports cars I've owned, I waited so long to get a Vette.
I do have one problem with it. The seat belts are a pain to get into the recievers. A couple of other C5 friends also have the same complaint and none of us have large "beer bellies" or unusual impediments. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum. Some earlier C5'S, including a 98 cp I used to have, hade a recall for seat belt rewinders. You can check with a dealer to see about this safety related repair. They may have to fix regardless of age or miles.

Welcome aboard! Glad you finally saw the light. You don't want to know what we used to call those cute little British Sporty Cars.
