Default Timeframe for 2006 Orders??

Does anyone have a best guess on dates for GM accepting 2006 orders? When does the factory usually switch production to the new model? When do the first cars typically get shipped?

I have waited soooo long to get my vert order accepted, I'm guessing May/June delivery if it is finally accepted next week. Makes waiting for a 2006 very inviting.

I had the same dielema, but I figured having the car in May or June and driving it all summer & fall would be better than getting a year newer car in the dead of next winter.

There was a recent thread that indicated 2005 model year production would continue through September due to the backlog in orders. So, it looks like 2006 production won't start until October at the earliest.

They normally start taking orders in April, May. Then start production in June, July. There is talk that 05 production will be extended into September. If this happens they might not start taking orders until June.
