I bought 1SB just to get the HUD. But frankly the heated seat option doesn't make any sense here. I'd prefer air conditioned seats.

The HUD was the main reason I got my C5, I probably would have Kept my C4 and waited a few more years, because it took me a long time to warm up to the looks of the C5. But the new HUD in the C6 is so much crisper and the NAV directions are very useful. Although I wish they would have left the fuel guage in the HUD.

HUD does nothing for me. I keep forgetting its even there. Although the G-meter is def kool!
However, nearly every potential buyer of my C5 asked if it had HUD.
I got a good enough price for the C5, and really had little trouble selling it, but HUD would have made it easier, and I'm sure I could have recouped its price.

That was my first reaction. That is the gauge I always had up on the C5. To be honest with you, I don't use that gauge, I always leave the Range on the DIC.

I love the HUD. I am so much more aware of my speed with it. The fact that the NAV is integrated with it on the C6 is the icing on the cake for me

The heated seats come in handy anywhere when having a removable roof . Any night where it's a little bit cool (like driving along PCH here in Cali) and those heated seats rock. I was originally not interested in them because I didin't think I'd need them. Now I can't live without them .

Although there's a really cool feature that the new MB SLK350 has that I would love to see as an option on the Vette. They built into their heated seat option small air-vents at the neck-line. So you can activate it and it'll blow warm air on the back of your neck. VERY cool for chilly night, top-off / down drives .

There is nothing superfluous about 1SB, in my opinion. In fact, I think it's a great value. Don't forget the side air bags!

Did you see my post above? They'll only build it if there's demand, so go join the forums and post in the C6 thread.

The C6 seemed primitive in relation to my Mercedes in the bells and whistles department, but it didn't have a HUD and I was chuckling inside when I started it the other day and it said...ICE POSSIBLE.

Speaking of speed and the HUD, has anyone else noticed that the speedometer and the HUD speed are sometimes off by 1 MPH?

Default Nav System and Heated Seats a Must

I agree with Everyone here, just picked up my Magnetic Red / Cashmere Interior C6 on Friday - What a ride!! The heated seats are great I have the Vette, a 02 King Ranch F-150 and a 03 Pathfinder...all have heated seats - wife won't let me buy a car without one

Than Nav system was great with the HUD - I was going to a friend house yesterday and activated the voice command on the Nav system so we could find a place to eat and said "Italian Resturant" and 4 icons poped up on the display, I tapped one of the icons and I got turn by turn directions to the place - Now how cool is that!! Between the voice from the Nav System and the directions showing up in the HUD I never took my eyes off the road other than to push the voice button and the destination icon

Now if Mr. Hill would get off his horse and realize that Steering wheel mounted controls are right in-line with that whole 'keeping your eyes on the road' thing we'll be golden.

hehe, yup, I opened up another hot topic p.

HUD is digital, speedo analog.
You could go 49.99 mph on the speedo (50), and it still might read 49 on the digital readout.

Guess that means I've got HUD version 1.2 in my 87 Of course I have to look down at it.

When / if I get a chance to get a C5 or C6, HUD will definately be a requirement. I've got it on my Grand Prix and love it.
