Yeah, I see that there are some who added to the stable. But I really like seeing the results showing what brand car the C6 is making a dent in. Looks like the propeller blades are the biggest casualty so far.
The C6 will be an addition, also. My daily driver (when in the states) is a BMW 330i with performance package - my 4th bimmer. However, I'm completely repulsed with what BMW has done with their styling and electronic overkills, hence can't envision myself buying one of the current generation. As it is, the 330 is fun and is good for hauling 4 adults, but the C6 will be all about driving. Plus I really wanted to buy American this time around.
I let go of a bmw 330i. I miss a couple things about it. The engine sounded better than my C6's and the car felt so much more nimble, but I wouldn't go back. I love my C6!! I've never had so much fun driving!! I'll probably add a beemer to the garage later this year.
Having kept my 330i and still driving both Ill have to agree and disagree with you. I agree the 330i "feels" more nimble but there are lane changes and turns I can take on the vette that would leave me sideways on the 330i - the "feel more nimble" I think is mainly due to the higher sitting position and the fact that it takes less steering effort on 330i. As for engine sound I have to disagree- have ya opened your vette up yet - it may not sound mean at idle but get that baby up to 4K rpm and it growls... the 330i may have a meaner meow but the vette has a much much more noticeable roar...
Hardest thing for me is having to adjust to half the hp/torque

2003 BMW M3: current driver (terrific car with SMG, but needs soul.)
2001 Honda S2000: recently turned in at the end of it's lease in anticipation of the coming Vette (pure fun anywhere but freeways-- wears you out after a while with the sound, and no visibility with top up)
1998 BMW M3: now my wife's car, but drive it all the time. Great car: a classic.
First Vette purchase, then replace the M3 with new M3 or Audi S4.
