First of all the vise grip statement is a metaphor. I did look at the pictures and I don't see a significant difference in length to warrant a change, in the C5 maybe but not the C6. In the C5 we used an optical stopwatch and did 10 shifts with stock and 10 with Hurst and the stock averaged faster do to less pull force.
