Nice write up and photos, wish I had had it at dealership when they removed my radio. They had a lot more trouble removing the console trim than you did. Of course they didnt have any Buds in their tool boxes....

so does hurst have a part number for the C6 shifter now? or did you install the C5 "model"...?
How much harder is the shift feel?

It's cross referenced as the same #, however the instructions are for the C5. Not a big deal, it just tells you how to pull apart that console vs the new one.
It's just different. It feels quite a bit harder, yet I can shift twice as fast. Many members find that their wives don't like it if they change...not as buttery as stock.

Great post! I had it on my C5s and never missed a shift.
It's interesting that you mention it's quieter. I remember the C5
shifter not being as insulating and you could actually 'hear the transmission'.
