c6 = winter???
Yes, especially if one is not skilled at snow driving. But you can always just start out in second gear. Either that or simply work on the skills.
The more power (torque) you have, the worse it will be in the snow. Wide, hard compound tires and 400 lb/ft of torque make it difficult to start out without spinning the tires.Mike
That was my point. Too much power.

1. I had a '99 Camaro SS that I thought I could drive in snow because it had "Traction Control" {ooo, ahhhh}.
Didn't matter; and the car would get stuck in slush with new tires.2. The road treatment that is laid down will sandblast wheel wells, front end, and the windshield. After a season or two try driving into the sun and you get that wonderful glitter effect.
3. If you can afford a C6 you can afford even a used 4WD as a winter beater.

I have driven several sports cars year round, and you get by. While I have a winter driver, I did get caught twice at work this year, and had to drive it home in snowy conditions. The car is very well balanced, and the tranction control helps keep things in check. Much easier to handle then othe cars.
As for the M3...I have a friend who did nothing but bitch about driving his in the winter.
However, while I feel your sentiment for not wanting two cars, even if you can get through the snow, you are still going to get the abuse of the winter salt and rock chips. In my opinion, that is worse than dealing with driving in the snow.
I don't know about canada, but in the states the Jeep cherokee sport is cheap. The value on these went in the toilet when Jeep came out with the Jeep Liberty. I got a 4 wheel drive jeep 1997 cherokee Sport with an in-line six for 5k on eBay. I love it, and it keeps my baby warm and safe in the winter. Even on days (like now) when we are getting bad storms and they use the word "large hail" in their forcast, I drive the jeep instead.
You can drive the vette year round, but options make life easier.
