Default Disappointed

Well went down to look at the convertible I ordered 8 months ago and was very disappointed. Here is my list:

XM antenna in the middle of the decklid - horrible.
The side of the convertible top running above the top of the window glass is about 2 feet of straight canvas. Does not follow the lines of the car well at all.
The door handle openings... You could fit a baseball in there.
Exhaust was not even and seemed very loose.
Polished wheels looked like someone took some sandpaper to them. $1,200 option go figure.
And probably the worst one was the back end of the car when standing behind it looks horrible. Maybe it's because it is so narrow compared to the C5 but it is not appealing at all and does not seem to fit the bill for the top of the line US sports car.
There were a few other things but for $63K this was not what I was expecting. I know it is a better car than the C5 and C4 technology wise and even ride comfort I am sure but there were just too many things that did not seem right to me to justify the expenditure. So I am letting it go. Maybe the Z06 will fit the bill for not much more $$ wise.

Sorry to hear that you are disapointed, but did you do any research at all before you ordered the car?

You're supposed to look at the car before you buy it. You'd never seen the rear of the car? Wish I had money to throw around like that.

I was in a similar position when I ordered my 2003 BMW Z4 3.0L roadster. Paid for it and had it delivered to me. When I actually saw it up close and personal, I didn't like the front, the back, or the sides. The power top was great though. I thought the look would grow on me, but it didn't. 18 months later and I was in a new C6.

It happens. At least you didn't pay for it before you realized it wasn't for you. There's always the new Mustang.

You had over a year to see the Corvette at a car show. If you think it looks horrible now, it would have looked horrible back then and you would have saved yourself and the dealer the time wasted by ordering it.

What makes you think you're going to like the Z06 any better? It's going to look just like the vert when the top is up. Same rear end, same everything, except 3 inches wider. You compared the width to the C5 - it's 1 inch narrower than the C5.

Let me guess, the extra 100 HP is going to change your eyesight.

Who in the hell orders a car without going to see it first? This is quite possibly the most assanine post I've read on here.

I am not saying that everyone is going to like the new Vette......but you damn well better like it (and look at it in person for Christ sake) before you go drop 60 large on one...I don't care what kind of money you have.

Sorry dude, you got what you ordered

Fortunatley for the dealer, there is no shortage of prospective buyers that will take this car at a moments notice. The sad part is that we were one of the buyers with a Z51 order on constraint. With a little research on your part, the car could have went to someone that actually appreciates the C6.

As for your comments, some of us actually love the styling of the C6 and gladly drive one on a daily basis. If it is not for you, then so be it. As with a previous response, it is not likely you will find much sympathy or support here.

Outside of seeing one in person there were about a million posts on most of those items here and elsewhere. To be honest Im unsure if this is a legitimate post or a troll?

To my eye the C6 is too narrow, the roofline is too high, and the rear end is boring.

I really should be driving an F430 Spider , but....

the Vette offers the best mix of styling, performance, and value for the money.

It's pretty much an unbeatable package.
