Any pictures? if it's the one on their web site, it make no sence, object are exposed and can fly around and provides no security, IMO it looks like a dog or cat bowl.
I guess your right, the trays do kinda have the shape of a dog or cat bowl, tray or dish, no make that a rectangle, nah....it looks more like a small TV, or maybe a laptop
Ok I guess I am getting a little carried away......I guess different strokes for different folks. All I can say is that I am pleased with it and the only way anything is going to fly out of those trays is if the car rolls over or I get the Lingenfelter package I have been drooling over.

Is GM still even planning to produce the organizer tray? The reason I wonder is that is has been removed from the Accessory page of the corvette.com (chevy) website.

The reason I would prefer to hold out for the GM unit is that the entire surface of it was surrounded by short wall with two dividers in it which appeared to give more area for storage as opposed to two tray like depressions in these units.
