Mine simply wedges in the back behind the seats. Does not move or shift at all as it is cut with the exact countours of the car.

It works out great. No mods to the car, stays in place and if I want to take it out it comes out. Pretty cool design.

I just ordered mine from Southern as well - Jim is making me one with 2 trays AND 2 drink holders - don't know if I'll actually use the drink holders for drinks, but maybe for smaller trinkets. I'll post pictures when it's here and installed.

Can someone post how big the trays are? I would like to sit a small cooler (6 pack size) in one to keep it from sliding around?

Thanks,

I would like a tray that fits directly behind the seats. As wide as driver's side pillar post to passenger's side pillar post. Made of hard plastic, or whatever, interior colored. Slips over ridge behind seats to secure itself and can be removed. As deep as the ridge behind the seats or shallower. As wide as 5-10 inches, maybe with adjustment for that. A couple holders for cups, maybe.

Just something to hold wife's purse, CD cases, map, etc.

IS THAT TO MUCH TO ASK???

That is what this is!!!!! Whith the exception of the hard plastic. Not sure what is inside, but it feels like a very rigid foam. It does not move around or slip out. I was a little hesitant, but really like it.

What we really need are some "CLEAR" pictures of what it looks like. Now that would be greatly appreciated!!!

With the Coupe top stored in the trunk, suitcases usually go at the front. The hump that runs just behind the seats keeps things from sliding forward and bumping the seatbacks, the trays look like they would eliminate that advantage.

I think I read in an earlier thread that soft luggage fits beneath the stored top. If that's the case, I still want the GM cargo organizer which I heard may finally/eventually become available.

Tray is friction fit. You can easily take it out if you ever want to use that space for a suitcase.
