So true! I am pretty sure I am healthier from all the extra walking - I park far far away now.

Delaminating roof panel - dealer is ordering me new roof.

Also, my wife falls asleep in the car everytime we go out in it. Says it's comfortable and relaxing. Fine with me ... I tend to talk to the computer lady on my Nav system anyway!

If there is no news, then make some.

What better way to perpetuate the well known fallacies, fears and misguided opinions with regard to buying a first year model?

Keep asking people to post about "problems" and you have a "data base" of sorts.

I have a triple black 6 speed vert with 225 miles on the clock. I bought it 2 weeks ago with just 4 miles, so the last 221 miles have been trouble free....so far

Just turned 1000 miles and loving it.
Brakes squeak a bit but the owners manual says this is normal.
Its way too fast! I cant believe its street legal!
Slight intermittent rattle in the drivers side window post.
No heads up display. You can see a reflection in the windshield of the filler panel.

08 Vert bought with guaranteed clean CARFAX one-owner at 18K miles. In 3 months, I've added 2,500K miles locally with no system problems or other issues.

We may have one problem. When I let my 25 y/o nephew drive my Vette for the first time, he's hooked and it's the only one in the family.

27,000 miles on a 2007 Coupe and no problems to speak off.

Rear end clunk---dealer repaired with a fluid change
Roof creak---WD40 takes care of that every so often
Front Sway Bar bushings---dealer will repair under warranty after tire replacement and alignment

Essentially, no problems

Love the car---did some sprited driving over the weekend with some other Corvette owners and what a thrill that was!!!!!! Lot's of SMILES.

12,000 miles. Only probelm was TSB for rear end chatter on turns. Fixed under warranty.

For all of you with rear hatch button problems, just follow this simple DIY from Talon.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...-pictures.html

I did mine in about 30 minutes, very simple and it works great now.

3 years, 21000 miles.......not one problem.
Of course when I bought the extended GMPP when we got the car we knew we would never have a problem with it.

Bought my 2005 with approx 23k miles on it in July 2008 - and don't know what the PO had to have done to the car. But, in the 20k miles I've put on it as a DD, I've replaced the endlinks and ................ that's it! Very reliable so far.

How in the world did you find a thread that started in 2005?

have an 07 Z51, at 12k A6, shifter locked out of Rev & Park. Cable had broken, had to replace shifter module for $600 but thankfully had bought an ext. warr from Dennis Fitchner, who went way about call of duty, gave me a phone no. from GM who had the car flatbedded (battery wouldn't take a jump from anything, even dealer had to recharge it- was only 9 mos old, and is working fine, but as dealer said, once battery drops to low voltage, they do all kind of weird things). Shifter got loose again, but was fixed easily in 30 min.

AND, GEOFF SAID TO SEND HIM A PM WITH VIN ETC, TO CHECK TO SEE IF MY PAINTED ROOF WAS ON RECALL. SENT HIM 2 PMs, BUT NEVER GOT BACK TO ME, WHERE'D YOU GO, BRO?

This would be a sensible comment if:

1) we lived in a static world, just because it's old to you doesn't mean it's old to new members

2) even old members will have problems going forward

3) as my Thai Buddhist monk friend says, "Things are always changing, even the beautiful young girl becomes the old woman"...

I'm on my 5th Vette, and they're generally bullet proof, but nothing's perfect. And, how bout that Buddhism to take the illusion out of things for ya.

Wow, 2005

Here's my MAJOR issues:
- Too Much HP results in speeding, tire squealing/smoking.
- Gears 3-6 are useless as I only need 2nd to get to 80mph.
- Driving by people causes them to be distracted and they drive unsafely.
