On the positive side, engineers would install the left-over electric motors used to operate the hidden headlights on previous models.
They could also utilize the '05 convertable top switches, that are currently being replaced, to keep the wing from going up too high, falling off the track, and subsequently blowing off onto the highway.
They would add 10 more relays to the electrical system to insure that (on MN6 equiped cars) the wing was retracted before and after the car was placed in reverse and before the emergency brake was actuated, and before the ignition was turned off.
Then they would add a **** (and another 3 relays) to the dash which the driver could adjust to control at what speed the wing would begin to rise, and how high it would rise at a given speed. Another **** (and 3 relays) would be added to control at what speed the wing retracts and how much it would retract at a given speed.
On the 3LT, wing controls would be tied (with 4 more relays) into the nav system which would provide voice activation for all wing functions.
The HUD would show all the wing settings in addition to the information it shows presently. 22 more voice commands would be added to the list of commands the system now recognizes.
Torque management programming would be modified so that acceleration would be limited if the owner dialed in the wrong wing settings.
ECM would be modified to provide a "limp home" mode if the driver selected an inappropriate wing setting and a big red "X" would appear in the HUD (next to the A6 regular "X" which appears when an inappropriate gear change is attempted by the driver.
I may have missed something.

Wings server a function on race cars; sponsers pay good money for that space. Aerodynamics has more to do with what happens under the car and the C6 is already very good in that area. But how about a retractible air dam that retracts so I can get in and out of my driveway without scraping but extends once I reach some speed where it might have an effect? Not sure if this is worth the complexity, but at least there's a reason for it.

Is this the future of things to come? It is funtional as well.
The Corvette is all about Aerodynamics & power.
These current rear spoilers on the C6 do very little IMO.

Addendum:
The addition of a motorized spoiler will make vendors very happy as sales of related items will soar. Mods to the system might include:
1. Chrome or body colored wing supports
2. Chrome or body colored wings (Monterrey red to be available later)
3. Flags, either painted or a decal, on the bottom of the wing
4. A 344 LED wing replacement
5. A Z06 style wing replacement (soon to be available in the 344 LED
version)
6. The speed of up and down wing movement modified by tuners
7. Badges for the option code (BM2) provided by a formerly
frequently appearing forum vendor (to be placed immediately below
and slightly to the right of the present Z51 emblem)
8. Electronic wing shutoff to prevent DBS (in case the wing starts
going up and down at night while the owner is sleeping)
DISCLAIMER: This list is not represented as being all inclusive!

Don't be ridiculous. The car already has amazing aerodynamics, incredible top speed... that no one on this forum is ever going to use anyway. Besides, aerodynamically a retractable wing is a crutch for cars that have so-so aero numbers to begin with.

Anyone voting yes should be tracked down and banned for life from the forum! They are the same people trying to put Folgers coffee cans on the exhaust - shoot them now! I wonder how many of the yes votes really own a Corvette or are the kiddies that sometimes seem to haunt the forum.

Gee, I don't think it is such a bad idea. Go to the following website and check out page 9. I think this is the type of wing the original posting has in mind. Let me think a $ 450,000.00 plus car that goes over 200 mph and it works for them.

Improved downforce is always welcome in a high performance car....
I am surprised that the C6 still does not has flat underbody paneling to reduce lift.....
So before putting a wing a flat underbody should be first.....
