Default 47 miles and a puddle Thanks GM

I have readhow much better the c6 is vs. c5. I was amazed at how much,BUT Oil leak under the tranny. I
thought no big deal. Well it is a big deal. Seal between tran&diff. will require diff and tran to come out. Dealer is going to try not to remove tranny. Hand GM $60,ooo Then 2 days later give them the car back for no telling how long. Is this
as bad as it looks or what. Any one else deal with this? Can seal be put in withouttransmission coming out. So much for our excitment obout our new c6. thank you GM.

There have been a couple of isolated incidences of this. Seals have never been the Generals strong suit, going back fifty years! I don't know about the tranny question. Sorry about your problems, but you will love the car when all is right.

Get it taken care of under warranty!!!! My C5 had that problem just as I was selling it, $50 part (seal) and $1700 in labor!!! The driveshaft was out of alignment and also had to be replaced...

Make sure they check the alignment of the shaft, you don't want the new seal to break again right away!

Sorry mn6 transmission. It does look like c6 has every part of the car upgraded, which by themselves is no big deal but add them all togather it is a very big deal. But remember I saw my car 8 hrs & 47 miles.

How did it go. my dealer has not done this yet. Did they pull your tranny? Is pulling the trans harder than my 69 GTO. I did that once a week.

The differential and transmission are removed as an assembly and then separated on the bench.

Tranny does not come out to replace the seal between the 2 units.

This is one of the MANY problems I had with my C6.

I'm glad it's gone.

Good luck with your car. Hopefully they won't screw the car up in the process of "fixing" it.

And GM wonders why sales are falling through the floor. The damage to their reputation from experiences like yours is enormous.

I hope you have a fast, fast, fast repair.

Is it just me or does it seem that C6's with manual transnissions have more problems then us C6'ers with automatics?
