City Average 20
Just returned from a 1200 mile trip. I ran a number of tests durning the trip. Each test was 60 miles in length.
65 mph = 30 mpg
75 mph = 27 mpg
85 mph = 24 mpg
I much prefer driving 85 when crossing the state of NDak.
Just came back from 1800 mile trip fron Chicago to Memphis, TN with a lot of driving in TN. Averaged 26.8 mpg for the whole 1800 miles. My mileage is now about 3000 miles.

2005 Silver Mn6 non Z51.
I took possesion of my baby on September 3.
I have about 750 miles on it and I am averaging 18.2 for the lifetime of the car according to the DIC.
I probably spend about 60% driving around town. Since I went over the 500 mile mark, I've been over 100MPH on 3 different occasions and
over 90 on 3 other occasions. The first tank of gas the average was 16.4. It has been going up a little with every tank full, I guess the engine is loosening up.
I am very happy with its mileage. My other car is a 2001 Ford Ranger 4x4, so the vette is also my economy car.
I must be bored for I calculated the average of all the averages by the forum members thus far:
20.9 MPG with standard deviation of 5.5 MPG. What this means (and statisticians please correct me if I'm wrong) is that 68.3% (corresponding to 1 sigma) of all those reported MPG fall between 15.4 and 26.4 mpg.
As for me, I average approximately 18-19 with mixed city and highway, and mixed aggressive and easy driving.
IMO dont try to look too much into these (or anybody else's) numbers. These are unique to your style of driving and vary with the particular circumstances of city or hwy driving (ie. city driving could be 30 mph with infrequent stop signs/traffic lights or stop and go 10 mph traffic)
