Weird Stuff....
2005 C6, 2,100 miles. In the last 24 hours the following has happened:
1) After turning off ignition, pulling parking brake, and locking steering column, I exited the vehicle. The horn started sounding repeatedly - like a car alarm gone bad. Re entered the vehicle (with FOB) restarted it - turned it off - everything quieted.
2) The next morning, the rear hatch was ajar -like I had popped it, but I did not.
3) In the afternoon (car has been sitting for several hours), the car alarm (horn sounding repeatedly), goes off for no reason. Enter car with FOB, start it - alarm turns off.

What gives?
Make sure no one has the other FOB and is playing tricks on you . Also make sure you don't have anything in your pocket with the FOB, buttons could be pressed. It's happened a couple of times to me with other keys in the same pocket.
Where is your other fob? Any new wireless gizmos, neighbor buy a car with fob recently? How are those batteries on the fob doing? Was honey wearing a sexy outfit that caused that fob in your pocket to get squeezed?
Do yo know where your cat or dog has been lately? they could be messing with ya...

Had the same thing happen to me. I think it is a programming problem...
The hatch thing....might be that you accidentally pressed the button on the FOB when exiting your vehicle.
Getting it checked next weekend when I take it in for the dreaded creaky coupe roof

Yep, happened to me last week. I was installing a new dryer in the garage, and the Vette's lights came on. The fob was in my pocket. I must have hit a button by accident while I was leaning over the dryer wiring it up.

None of the above. Only I drive this car, and the other FOB is stored far away. This is concerning me as I leave my car at the airport for days quite often. I can not afford for this type of thing to happen.
You could also have a bad hatch latch which is not fully locking. If it opens when the car is locked it would trip the alarm. First thing to do might be to look for loose trim that might be interfering with the latch. Other than that, a trip to the dealer would be next.
Mine does the same thing.Proper turn off procedure, exit the car and for no reason 3 beeps like I left the fob in the car. Weird, think its just a computer glitch since it only happens once in a while.I just walk away ,never had a problem annoying at any rate.

But this was not three beeps, The alarm went off with the horn honking repeatedly. Once on its own, and once when I had just exited the car (properly)
