I was just wondering if it was a z51,but it's built,so i guess it wouldn't matter that z51's are constrained all year.my bad!As stated above, dealer doesn;t control the shipping end of it.
I just hate to know that some got theirs delivered in 1 week after production, and mine was built 2 weeks before theirs and I don't even have a delivery date, and I live here in California which will probably take 3 weeks more to ship if I get a delivery date !
The shipping company recent petitioned GM as well as Ford and Chrysler for a little compensation for the increased fuel costs. Chrysler and Ford said OK while GM said stick it. Well Allied said OK and prioritized Chrysler and Ford and put GM on the back burner. Well needless to say GM caved and now we are playing catch up.
The shipper, Allied, will hold cars at Bowling Green for up to 10 days if necessary to make a complete load going to the same general area. In the case of my 2006 C6 Coupe here was the schedule:
Spetember 19th - off the line
September 27th - released for shipping
October 2nd - Loaded on truck
October 7th -arrived at dealership in CA
October 10th - Delivered to me
The waiting hurts but it shouldn't be too long now.
My 06 C6 came off the line September 14th, loaded on the truck on September 16th, arrived in Northern California September 22nd, and I took it home September 23rd.
When I first go notice of the build week, the dealer told me to expect an Oct 3rd delivery date. I was really pleased it got here 10 days earlier.
