I vote for the gymnastic style of the C4 flip over headlights that score a 10 on style and a 10 on amazing passerby’s of all ages. After all this is a Corvette build to bolster ego’s, entice the opposite gender, provide you State Farm agent with retirement and transform your life savings in to Zaino.

C4's roll-forward headlights are the coolest exterior gizmo of all time. Presence with a capital P. Aerodynamically cleaner than wedge-up lights, too.
I do not trust in GM Styling's ability to delivery stunning faired-in headlamps. I'd much rather see mediocre popups a la C5 than even-more-mediocre copycat fixed headlamps.
Turning on C6's headlights should be an attention-grabbing crowd-pleasing event. People should stop and point with mouths agape. Like HUD, it should be a "check THIS out" source of pride for the Corvette owner to show off.
My nightmare: C6 has goofy stretched-into-the-hood gargantuan-glass eyes like too many current cars.

YEA on the pop ups Also, the flash to pass should pop 'em up as well.
(Since were talking heritage, how 'bout bringing back the vacuum operated C3 system - that'll keep the C6 Tech forum busy )

NO!!
Lets see some C5R, Breathless, or Specterwerks style headlights, but better done, with body color around the lights, under the glass.

I think the pop-up lights make the car look ridiculous when the are up. Let the Firebird keep it's 80's style lights and the Corvette can move forward with a fixed design.

Do you guys want flip ups because of the heritage of corvette, or because you just like them?
Because from 53 to 62 they were fixed. So that would kind of blow the heritage argument out.

FYI, I prefer the roll-over C4 lights, to the Firebird-esque pop up of the C5. To this day, people gawk and point at a stop light when I turn the lights on and they roll over. [img]http]//www.corvetteforum.com/ubb/smile.gif[/img]
