Default Is This Normal?

I love driving my C6. I am however disappointed in the down days because of problems.

1. DBS Twice.

2. Differential leaks. At the dealer a total of twelve days.

3. The latest. Driver side air bag module defective. Part is on back order for two weeks or more. The dealer recommends I don't drive it as the air bag might deploy unexpectedly.

I haven't owned a car since 1979 with so many problems (Chevy Van). Am I spoiled having bought Acuras and Toyotas for the past several years?

Sorry, but the experience you are having is just not typical.

Do you have a good service representative? Is he documenting the issues (ask for a copy of the Vehicle History that is available from any dealership based on your VIN).

If the issues continue, look into your states Lemon Law.

It may come to pass that it will become necessary to apply that Law to your vehicle.

On behalf of most Corvette owners, I feel that your situation is just not typical, and am very sorry that you are having these issues.

In any event, please have a Happy Holiday Season, and possibly the issues with the Vette are in the past.

Thanks. The dealership has bent over backwards (Paradise Chevrolet in Temecula, CA) with appologies and loaner cars (Cadillacs). I'm not quite ready for the lemon law but I'm sure I won't own this car when the warranty expires. Hey, there's a good reason to buy an '07 ZO6!

I think that it will take more than some "minor" things for the lemon law to kick in. Good luck in the fix.

I also think it takes a problem area repeating itself plus a certain amount of time being down. Good Luck!
