I've had the HUD since my 99 and could NEVER consider a vette w/o out it. I also have heated seats in the wifes PT Cruiser and LOVE them and since my vette is a daily driver in temps as low as ZERO I want/need the heated seats. I had the bladders in my 95 and 96. After 4 years the bladders stopped working in the 95. That was a big buck repair out of warranty. My last two vette's a 99 and now 03 Z didn't have the bladders and I personally wouldn't miss them. The Homelink is MUST, as are some of the other features.

So bottom line I think a 3LT C6 is just what the doctor ordered for me - so I just ordered a 3LT C6. Can't wait.

As it is I'm overwhelmed by the plethora of nifty features the car has. I don't feel I am missing out on anything. The DIC alone will keep you well occupied. The climate control system is excellent, no need for heated seats. The nice big round gauges in the dash are very easy to read, day or night, I don't see any need for an HUD.

The only part of the 3LT that might actually be of real practical use is the telescoping steering wheel. I find my 2LT steering wheel to be in a good position, but the more adjustability, the better.

There's something to be said for not having TOO many toys and gadgets in a car. Less distraction. Less stuff to break and necessitate a trip to the dealer.

It's ultimately a personal choice of course. All depends on what you expect out of the car and how you will use it.

If you enjoy lots of extra toys and don't mind parting with another $3300 or so, certainly get the 3LT. But if you are trying to keep the cost down, and are really only interested in buying the car for the serious performance vehicle it is, the 2LT is way more than enough in my opinion.

I love my 2LT, I wouldn't want it any other way.

2LT seats and 3LT seats are identical in every way except 3LT seats are heated. My 2LT seats came perforated. I was not expecting that but it was fine with me.

I have the 3LT and enjoy the little features, plus I decided I could afford it.

What I DO need are some 3LT badges... anyone seem those available?

I chose the 3LT because I wanted the additional options. My C5 was bare bones. This is my first new car so I wanted it my way. The $5500 off MSRP offest the option cost enough to make it worth it.

Coming soon (30 Jan): LMB/ebony/blk vert 3LT, Z51, MX0, U3U, R8C

The radio system on the 2LT is very good. Plus you get the 3LT seats and the side airbags with the 2LT package. A good deal IMO.
