Definately get CAGS. Read the manual as mentioned above and stay tuned to the CF...there are lots of great advice and plenty of knowledgeable (sp?) people to help you out. And remember...the search link is your friend.
My advice to you is to read the owners manual, pure and simple. A lot of people make statements on the Forum that are simply not true. Makes me wonder if they're wannabe's, because they don't seem to have the same make and model I have. Read the manual and watch the DVD. You'll learn a lot about the car and respect it all the more. The toughest part about the DVD is watching it in one sitting, because it makes you want to get up and drive it!
Cool. I watched the DVD - ok its still playing. They did say you need to do that or you will drain the battery - but they keep showing 'previous year model' flashing. The manual tells you to park like that, but no threat of battery leaking. Weird. Just to be safe, I will do it. Thanks again to all that replied. Really excited. Keep taking it out of the garage.
What they all said. Get the CAGS fixed, enjoy be flashed, hopefully only by women. Welcome to the corvette club. Its more than a car, its a way of life
The 06 manual still recommends shifting to Reverse to shut down, but the requirement to be in reverse for the shut down procedure to be completed in the 05 models has been eliminated for the 06s.
