I know this has been discussed in the past but I can't seem to find recent threads. Anyway, I have noticed that I need to add a quart of oil after about 2000 miles. Anyone else with this usage? BTW, I have the 2005 C6.

Mine has a bit over 19,000 miles on it now, essentially zero oil usage since new. Daily driver, not flogged. The engine will use some oil if you habitually visit 6000 RPM. GM says that up to 1 quart in 2000 miles is "normal". I consider that excessive for any car that isn't being constantly flogged.
My '06 has about 850 miles on it and the oil level has not dropped even the slightest. Need more time to tell for sure, but so far this is very encouraging. No flogging; normal street driving with the occasional punch through 1st and 2nd gear as conditions permit (with they would permit more.
I used 1qt on the first 1500 miles and almost nothing since - now 8k miles. AND this report is from Germany, if I do not reach 100mph on the ride to work it is a very bad commute day.
Some owners have used more when they drive hard. GM has said 1 quart in 2000 miles is normal and I agree with that. All cars are different. I never have to add oil to my XJ8. I have changed the oil once in the Corvette in 6800 miles and I have added around a quart total. About 1/2 quart before the first change at 4500 miles and another 1/2 since the change. Even engines in the same year can differ from one another.
