I love the C6, however, the paint on this car is starting to get to me. I wash it well and blow dry it with a leaf blower. Yet these dam swirl marks are such a F'in eyesore. The paint is so soft. My buddy who has a Mustang takes his to the car wash on a regular basis, and his paint is not bad at all. Other than that, the car rocks
I fully agree that the C6 takes alot of TLC. We LMB (and black) owners especially know the difficulties. I wish there was an easier solution than multiple coats of Rejex/Zaino/etc., but that's all that works IMHO.

Go buy micro fiber towels from WalMart (blue). Get some NanoWax and some spray detailer. The Wax As You Dry is AWESOME. I used to wax weekly, now I wax monthly and use the Wax as you Dry all the other times. My c6 is black.
2000+ miles almost two months old and no swirl marks. I hand wash and wax using only fore and aft motions with anything touching the car. Never ever use a circular motion when washing drying or waxing.
I use Zaino and Rejex on my vette and I can honestly say I keep the swirls and scratches in check with all of the Zaino products. But Its still a pain to keep perfectly clean but I love this car.
According to Sal Zaino, the swirl marks are caused from poor quality towels. He suggested Martha Stewart Egyptian weave. I have Mag Red and no swirl marks
this car is way too fun and good looking for me to spend as much time as some of you do worrying about the paint. I Zaino it regularly and drive it everyday and dont think any more about the paint than I need to.

Your black car looks great. I had one many years ago and when I left the dealership the salesman said this is the first and last black car you will ever own. He was right. Nothing looks as good a black car when it has just been washed and waxed however.

Well it sure speaks of a da*m poor factory paint if a simple cotton towel can cause such scratches in the clear coat.

Have you thought about taking your car to the same car wash. Maybe it is your washing technique.
