I picked silver bc it is classy, easy to clean and one of the best looking colors to show off the C6's great lines

edit: I just counted, this is either the 7th or 8th thread on this topic you have started.
The Forum would be boring if there wasn't consistantly new Threads. I take that responsibility.
With the colder weather finally arrriving in NJ, hibernation can lead to increased time on the computer. Fortunately or Unfortunately (depending on your view) it can also be accompanied with an increase in materialistic spending ($$$)...such as a new Corvette.

Thanks to all who regularly take the time to respond!

I voted for ease of maint. However I picked because of both.I really like the color. If I didn't like the color as much as I do I would have sacrificed the maintenance.I think silver is the best color choice.

I agree and the fact that the color is easy to keep clean is a bonus. I think the only negative I heard was from a friend of mine who is in the bodyshop business who claimed if the car ever needed to be fixed due to an accident or whatever, it would be hard to match the Machine Silver color "perfectly" on the car (unless you have to re-paint the whole thing). Don't know how true this is, but I love mine none the less!!

yeah, but 7+ threads by the same person regarding what color they should get is excessive.

I also went from black to silver. I miss my black but love the scratch-free surface of silver. But what really hooked me was the Cobalt red interior.

Both AND it goes really well with the cobalt red interior! I had a black C5 which was beautiful but showed every little spec of dirt, smudge, etc.

By having the interior be ebony and the top be black you get an added hidden benefit. The factory black "door handles" and black rear 3rd lite housing actually wind up looking like features, as opposed to "unpainted" aftermarket items - like with some of the other colors.

Sharp contrast.

Default Machine Silver

I chose Machine Silver because it's classy and sets off the lines very well. The ease of maintenance came as an added plus. I was surprised and pleased at how much attention and complements I got on a color I would describe as "Stealth Silver". Finally, the MS reminds me of the F16 and that can't be bad!!!

Our fourth silver/black vette. My kids grew up thinking all Corvettes were silver. Btw, each car had a different look in the sun.

I believe the C6 looks best in MS.

DSOM is a close second.

The dark colors just mask the lines.

But really, there are no bad colors on the C6.

I wanted a red one. I walked into the dealer & saw a MS coupe with the red interior and the top off & I was hooked.

After 3 Blacks, One Red... Silver for the maintaince.

Black drove me crazy. I purchased torch red because I dislike the color and thought I wouldn't 'need' to clean it as often... true but the color ground on my nerves. Silver is working well for me.

Both. One of my favorite Corvettes ever built is a Silver '67 Coupe. Since I can't find one and if I could I probably couldn't afford it, I bought the Z06 in Machine Silver.
