I vaguely recall my salesman saying I have a free one year membership to the NCM when I picked up my C6 from the dealer on New Years Eve. I was really excited and could easily be misremembering. Could this memory be correct? I have recieved no membership card or anything in the mail, so I'm probably imagining things...........
When I purchased my vert in early January 06, the salesman told me I got a one year free membership with the NCM. He gave me a folder full of cool NCM papers including a "free offer" sign up form for one year free membership. I filled out the slip and then realized that it expired on 12/31/05 . I mailed it in anyway and begged for mercy since my purchase was after the expiration date by a couple of weeks. I have not heard anything back yet. Their contact number is 800-538-3883 - let us know what happens!
Actually, your guide at the Museum should sign you up when you're doing the paperwork. Also, if you are already a member, you can have your membership extended a year. I've done it 3 times (Museum Delivery and membership extension).
There may be a mixing of apples and oranges here. My understanding is, you get a one year subscription to "Corvette Quarterly" when you purchase a new Corvette. It does take several months to activate once you send in the card.
If you choose National Corvette Museum delivery (costs $490 additional but is a fantastic thing) you get a one year membership in the NCM. At least that is how it worked a year ago when we did the museum delivery on our C6.
From: Muncie, Indiana ...... Can I buy an amplifier on time ... I ani't got no money now but I'll pay you before I die

Everyone that buys a C6 gets one year NCM membership. They just have to send in the signup card that comes with their C6.
This just shows how pathetic some dealerships can be, talk to ten buyers and each will have a different spin on what they get with their car. I've bought quite a few Corvettes over the years and most of the time I an the one having to educate the salespeople, not the other way around.

If you got option R8C you do have a one year membership to the Museum. Call the Museum if you don't have your membership number and they'll give it to you. Also, don't forget, you can purchase Museum Delivery merchandise (shirt, jacket, etc.). Only people who take part in Museum delivery can purchase these items.
Mine was in the owners manual. There is a sign-up card you fill out with your VIN# and name and address. The first thing I recieved was a pamphlet that had NCM news however I also recieved a really neat NCM decal.
I did my museum delivery at the end of Nov and got a 2 year membership. 1 for purchase and one for museum delivery. It took 2 months to get my membership card.
I never received a membership card but when I visited the museum last week they asked if I was a member and looked it up in the computer and I got my discount

Amen to that, brother! I can not believe how misinformed the dealership I deal with is. They can be such bozos at time!!!!
By golly, I just dug out my manual and buried inside he Warranty booklet was the form for NCM. No one at the dealer ever told me about that. Another benefit of forum membership.
Well.........I dug out and went through every piece of paper the dealer gave me, and nothing on the NCM. Checked the owner's manual, the warranty manual, and everthing else I got that day. I guess I'll give the NCM a call and ask.........

Its a kind of flimsy 3x5 postcard. Easy to get lost in all the paperwork.
