Hey all, I live in the SF bay area (Santa Clara) and need to get a clear bra on the C6. Anyone have the name of a "great" installer in the area??

Yup. Jeremy Gomez. He did mine and his work is fantastic. He lives in Santa Rosa but has a shop in San Rafael. For a complete install, I think he'd be willing to drive down to your neck of the woods. You can reach him at (707) 328-5865.

I can't help you on the bra issue but it is nice to see a fellow Santa Claraian on the forum. You may want to try Max at the Corvette Center (Race Street Ralley) on Lafayete. BTW I had a bra on my 79 that over time degraded the paint. It would get wet in the rain or during a car wash and then during the drying process, it percolated steam under the surface that ultimately made the paint flake. Not sure whether the clear ones would have the same effect.

Wow, I live in Fairfield, and was researching this same issue today. I hope someone posts something useful.

Please make sure you get one with good references. I had a clear bra done by Darkside Tinting in So. Cal and the job was horrible. The clear bra made it look like my bumper had cracks.

XLNT Tint in Anaheim redid the clear bra and did an outstanding job. They have many referrals and will present it to you.

So lessons learned: 1) Ask for referrals 2) see how long the company has been clear bra-ing 3) ask company if they have C6 experience

Jeremy has an outstanding reputation in the 350z community and does a lot of high end work. There is no one else I would consider in that part of the country.

Hey Guys,
Thanks to all of you who responded. Looks like I have some thinking and work to do. I just bought a VY and drove it to Palm Springs from Santa Clara.
Well on the way back I hit high winds in the grapevine area and received a small chip on the drivers side rear view. Flying rocks!
So I just want to save the paint!!!!!
