OK, so I have "customized" my driving preferences and saved them to Driver #1. I have also enabled Auto Exit Recall in the DIC, so that the steering wheel automatically pulls back to the low position from the fully extended position I prefer to set it while driving. Very neat. I have an 06 3LT NAV Vert.
Problem is that the steering wheel doesn't automatically re-extend itself back to driving position, when I enter the vehicle carrying the #1 keyfob, even though I have the corresponding option (sorry, forgot the proper term) for it enabled. Has anyone seen this, got around fixing this? I suppose, hitting the #1 button might do the trick, but being dumb as I am, I forget to hit it and then catching myself driving with the wheel being in low position after 10-15 minutes of less than ideal body position...
If any of you have some ideas on how to make this work, I'd appreciate it. I had a similar setup with my BMW 745i, and that worked flawlessly (assuming the car wasn't being serviced...a big assumption...hehe)
Assuming you have a manual tranny, you must hit button #1 on the door to activate the seat and steering memory. I think if you have an auto, it does it when the key goes into the ignition.
Set up the mirrors, seat position, steering wheel position, etc..., then press and hold the #1 button on drivers door until it beeps. Now place everything the way you want for exit and then press middle button until it beeps. If the car is an Auto Trans. everything will adjust after you start car. If a Man. Trans. you have to press the 1 button. Hope this helps.

Whats up with that? I have a 04 Silverado and it adjusts as soon as the key goes into the ignition.
Since this is the C6 General section, we hoped the original poster was talking about a C6. He can't seem to get the key into the ignition in his C6.
With the manual tranny, you do have to push the #1 button to get the seats, mirrors, steering wheel, into driving position. You can use the button or let the car do it for you automatically with the auto tranny.

yes, I have tried and failed to put the key in the ignition but since I have an MN6 C6, I guess I have to get used to hitting that button
It's funny, because that is the only option I didn't order the car with, so thanks, GM, for the little bit of revenge for not paying another $1,250 option price, but shame on me for wanting to row my own gears....
My Schwinn has a problem with the tires. It seems when they heat up,they get greasy and slide easliy but predictably. I've been using 42 psi front and 46 psi rear. I use nitrogen only (even after purging the tires.)
Huh? What? A car site? Corvettes? Cool! Imagine the odds...
Hey,this site is great! I think I'll stay for a while!
