Default Atomic Orange?

OK, so DSOM is going away and we are getting AOM. Does anyone know what it looks like? I heard that it's the same color currently used on Hummers. Does anyone know if that's true, and if so how does it look?

I saw a promo photo somewhere, but upon closer inspection it was the DSOM on the cover of the Vette brochure that someone had photoshopped to make it look a little brighter.

I hope to see an actual photo soon, but no worries, I love my DSOM!

DSOM is a nice color. My understanding is the new color will be somewhat darker.

I know that the new Atomic Orange is supposed to have the same paint code as the orange currently being used on the Hummer, so I'm going to assume it's the same. I haven't seen it in person, but I'm told is a little brighter/lighter then DSOM.

Hey Russell...are you thinking of trading in your Mag Red? Sounds like it's time for a ride to Atlantic City!

I think that Hummer has an aftermarket paint job on it, I've seen plenty of orange ones in my area that look similar to the current DSOM, but that is really bright, I'm thinking that's not factory, but I could be wrong.

Could be, but most of the Google images of "orange Hummer" look about the same as that one.

Hummer calls it Fusion Orange available on a 2006 limited edition model. The pic on the Hummer web page is not that great.

This orange? I think it's going to be too dark to be distinguished from the reds very much, especially out of the sunlight

Unless I was dreaming, I remember seeing a Hummer in the bright orange color posted earlier. Not sure if it was a metallic paint, but it sure was an eye opener !!

I'll keep my DSOM, too. Besides, in "Schneller und Teuer" (Aug 2005) it states, "DSOM ist die schnellste Farbe."

Who can argue with the Germans?
