Ok, Ive Heard Alot Of Things About This Supposed "Blue Devil".
Now I'm Not Sure If This Is Correct But I Heard It Was Going To Be A C6 Z06 Supercharged From Factory. Does Anyone Know Anything About The Specs On The Car, IE. Horsepower, Torque Or The Engine Setup, Or When Its Going To Come Out?
But Regardless Of The Specs It Should Be A Beast.
Here is a quote from the 2/20/06 issue of Autoweek "Sources say the Blue Devil might go with a supercharged version of the Z06 7.0-liter V8, producing upward of 600 hp. Look for lightweight carbon fiber body parts to reduce weight to about 2900 pounds. Pricing will likely start somewhere around $100,000, if and when the car makes production in 2007."

The "Blue Devil" program was cancelled (that's official, not rumor). However, the current rumor (pretty solid) is that in 2008 when the Corvette switches to the new 6.2 liter DoD engine (425 hp normally aspirated), the LS7 engine now used in RPO Z06 will be replaced by a supercharged version of the 6.2 liter engine (reputed around 600 hp). The current marketing buzz is that this car will be known as the Corvette SS.
A copy of the RFQ for the supercharger has surfaced on the net. GM has announced they're closing the plant which makes the LS2. The LS7s are hand built in a prototyping facility (expensive). And the new 6.2 liter Gen IV engine is already going into 2007 SUVs and pickups, so it will be a less expensive volume produced alternative to the LS2 and LS7, which also gets better MPG, helping GM to attain CAFE goals.

I sure appreciate this information.
It makes me rethink my order for a Z06, '07.
Since I allready have a Vert that is 529RWHP, it should serve me until '08 (it's only 18 or so months ).
Or, maybe pick up another '05 and upgrade the motor to 500+ and drive the he!! out of it for the next 18 months
