I have experience with the TomTom 700 and it was great. I had borrwed it from a freind for a week. The new one has a 4" screen and mounts with a suction cup arrangement easily. They have a great website. Check it out.

They have not announced a price yet but I would assume something over $750. It is worth every penny IMHO.
"TomTom GO 910 will have a recommended retail price of at or below $899."

And they have a short 910 video here

I'm looking forward to this one too.

I repeat The portable GPS is exactly the reason I dont want one in my C6. Of all of the technology in the C6, the NAV will be antiquated the quickest. I feel that this time next year the '06 C6 NAV will look ancient compared to something that a high school kid will probably have on his I-POD. NO NAV FOR ME!

I just got a Nuvi, and I have to agree with YellowVetteC6, it is awesome. Superb nav options, voice reminders several times, a repeat voice button, plus it also can be an MP3 player, stores photos and can display them in slideshow mode (not a good idea while driving), can store and play audible.com books (great for catching up on reading or if you're tired of XM), currency and measurement converters, calculator, and on and on. It only has one button: on-off. Everything else is soft-key. The unit is so self-intuitive and user-friendly, you don't even need the manual, which is good because Garmin didn't think to include one, just a Quick-Start brochure, but I found that to be unimportant.

I didn't wait to look around and wait for price drops, I did the manly thing and bought it right now because I wanted it, $799 at BestBuy. It came with 2.80 version software but the latest is 3.10 (at least a week ago it was), and is easily downloadable and installable from the Garmin site. [Now it is 3.20, and I have updated from 3.10]

Crush1 and I did extensive research on all of them: TomTom, Lowrance, other Garmins, Magellans, etc. He is still waiting, but I think my Nuvi hooked him. IMO, it blows all the others away, has the new SIRF chipset, and the 3" screen is more than adequate.

For mounting, I attached it to the suction cup holder and wedged it into a thick foam cupholder insert ($1.99 at Advance Auto Parts) and stuck it in the rearward console cupholder.

This thing rocks. (Gushing concluded.)
