Will I recieve a notice in the mail to renew or establish an XM account?
How is the XM account established?
Thanks,
Gburg
My dealers set mine up both times. Maybe I'm just having a "senior moment", but I don't think I ever got a letter reminding me that mine was about to expire.
I have the standard 6 disc radio not the nav. I did receive a card in the mail letting me know that May 1st my trial expires. Dealer is going to try to fix tomrrow. I didn't see any connectors behind my seats.
If I can renew fro $77 I will, but not more so hopefully I can get the deal

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes? When I had the same problem with my aftermarket XM module that fixed it for me and I've seen one other report that this worked with the factory XM module as well. Can't hurt, other than you having to reindex the windows.
That fixed it. Pulled the cable had some cofee reconnected and XM is back. Saved me a trip, thanks brother. Just one more reason I love these forums
Cool Bro! Glad I could help. Funny how my aftermarket XM did pretty much the same thing to me and disconnecting the battery for ~5 minutes did nothing. I disconnected it for about a half hour and voila... everything back to normal. Seems like these things can get "locked up" and require a long power down to reset them.
As I posted the other day, my free trial period started the day the dealer took my deposit, not the day the car was delivered (2 week difference so I could pick it up with R8C NCM delivery). That's not something that was explained. I guess if I had had dealer delivery, and there had been some sort of delay, the XM clock would still have been ticking. That's something that should be changed
Call the 1800-XMRADIO number and just tell them your situation. I took delivery in dec but immediately garaged the car for the winter. When I took it out a couple of weeks back, the XM trial period was over and I hadn't used it at all. I just leveled with them and they re-started the 3 month trial period - No Questions Asked.
As included in other threads - it matters who answers the phone. If you get someone not in the mood to be helpful (or sitting right next to the supervisor...) simply call back. I found they are generally very nice to work with.
