I give them the response I give to anyone that badmouths a Corvette.I just tell them to "F' off". 
I know it may seem harshe but when someone tries to give me crap I just put the ball back in their court. The other thing I tell them is that we bash what we don't have or can't afford. Gets them mad but hey it's worth it to get them spun up.

Been a tough weekend for driving mine. Guy nearly hits the front
end with his Focus while I am pumping gas. Seems to be a rash of
people who tailgate and pull out without stopping. I think the majority
of people are multi-tasking doing too many things other than
driving. Sure is neat when I drive my son's lifted 4X4 chevy truck
with swamper tires and headers......people get far away in a hurry!

I've relized that all people who say they hate the Vette are just jeolous they don't have one. I had one of my buddies friends say that hey didn;t like Vettes....later when we went outside, I saw his car, a 1985 stang with rust all over it. Go figure

Only idiot i came accross was my "no one does it better than me" brother in law. went to inlaws for xmas, i got there first had the vette parked facing front. he came in, barely said hello, and never said anything to me. He must have been rel pissed. Later my wife asked what he thought of the vette. He said "it's just a car"

There will always be people who attempt to degrade what they want and don't have. I had a guy who married into our family downing me and the car Sat night at a family party. "It's too fast" "he should have bought something else" and many more remarks that I don't care to repeat. Me, I look at him and see a person with very little success in life who's hate for others is only surpassed by his hate for himself. People of his ilk don't bother me, they inspire me to do even better than I currently am. I think the best and the worst part of all of this was he made the remarks to my mother "yes I know stupid" not me. People who are envious of other, and try to degrade them don't go far in life. At the end of the night, I was still the owner of a triple black vert and he was the owner of a 95 Chevy stepside pick up. Now that I have said all of the "PC" things when I see that guy I'm going to make him see one of two things. Stars or muzzle flash!!!!!
