was at a local resteraunt last night with an outside deck, my LMB vert was parked right outside. I'm talking with a guy who sees the car and he is giving me all of the questions, etc. , he is commenting on how nice it is, etc. One of his buddies comes out and peeps over the deck, and comments on how ugly the vette is, going on and on about how he would never get one, how it cost too much money, etc. On and on and on. I say "Yeah, that's a pretty ugly car" and entertain him for a bit. (all of them were drunk - hehe). He says he is going inside to find out who owns this POS. After a while he comes back outside, unsuccessful in finding the owner. Me and his buddy are cracking up laughing. His buddy says "Show him the key", the hater says "no way", so I flash the lights.
Wouldn't she be more like a C5 with the headlights flipped up?
A few days ago a female friend told me that girls aren't impressed by Corvettes. They look at them as being something that old men drive. So, I explained that older men are usually more likely to buy one because they are at a point in their life where they have the $ to do it. I also went on to tell her that alot of younger guys make good money now so they can afford to own a Corvette too. My buddy's wife pretty much said the same thing that the girl did too. Interesting...
Hey- watch it- I drive a beat up old PU sometimes. And no matter how hard I try I can't catch up to a Vette to tail gate.
Haven't you noticed- we are a country of "Hater's" and were are getting better at it with practice.
Sadly your right about the "Haters"... I don't get it but apparently anything that people don't have they want to destroy. There has been a major change in the psyche of this country over the past 20 years. Unfortunately there is a certain political group that has encouraged class warfare and I believe we’re seeing some of the results. It’s not going to change unless people stop encouraging that kind of nonsense and say we’re all Americans…. I’ve always been happy for people that succeed because that’s what made this country great! Ok… off the soapbox because it’s time to fire up my vette! Get out there and enjoy myself because that’s why I bought this car!

I play racquetball with some guys who own P's and bimmers, and they ragged on me when I bought my new vette, I just told them that my car is a reflection of me, that gave them alot of thought, because they are pompous-arrogant a*holes majority of the time
