C5/c6 Bash
Tom Wallace did a presentation and Q&A Session at the Bash. He said that Corvette would always be moving forward, strengthen up the interior (quality and design) among other things. He felt that Corvette should always have the fastest 0 to 60 times in GM's stable and would fight hard to keep it that way. A question was brought up about the new accessories and trying to be like a Cadillac, his answer, Cadillac people like luxury with some speed while Corvette people like speed and handling with comfort items. Next question: With all the add on's and I do mean add on's will there ever be a automatic ZO6 (HIS ANSWER NEVER)! The cars they had out by NCM (2007) had almost every aftermarket item on them (some installed in the factory but most dealer installed), stripes, exhaust, bras, color (interior trim, engine covers, door handles, etc.).

He did say that the 6-speed automatic they are using now is not capable to withstand the torque that the Z06 is putting out.
