Sounds like its coming from behind the ac vents. Should i take it in, it bothers me knowing its there, or leave it.? I think it is likely easy to locate but who knows. The dealer will fix that and i'll get it back with something else wrong, which is what scares me.

I took the car in today, drove the machanic around he heard the rattle. plastic against plastic. I asked them to pull the console off dive it and see. Leaving the car overnight they gave me a rental. I am confident these guys will look after it right.

Dont worry about it, they should fix it. We did this one and there is no rattles, so it should be something minor.

Maybe the rattle isn't so bad after all.

I have the same rattle, but I cannot find the source!

It sounds like plastic rubbing against plastic (especially when going over a bump). Mine seems to be right infront of the driver, somewhere near the DIC. Now that you mention it, the rattle may be coming from the AC vents...thats the next place I need to check.

Is yours infront of the driver somewhere as well?

Please post the source if/when they figure it out!

My rattle was coming from the center console and under heavy acceleration. I took it into the dealer and they took my center console off, and added some padding to the back side of it. My rattle disappeared.

Mine is coming from the right side center console where the plastic console meets the dash. They are taking off the console and i expect will line it with some foam. Minor annoyance which i allowed for when i bought the car. By that i figured two trips to the dealer for rattles once everything loosens up. I will post when i to get my ride back . But , also could be some minor flex in the console, solution to me is foam or rubber gasket to prevent the plastic on plastic.

The first week mine had a squeak from the clear plastic covering the guages rubbing against it's surrounding trim. Check there. That was an easy fix.

My car has a plastic-on-plastic rattle coming from the dashboard in front of the driver. It occurs only on hot days. In my case, it's caused by the blanking plate that covers the well where the HUD would go. If I press on the plate, the rattle goes away.

Got my car back rattle is gone. The dealer wrapped plastic on plastic components witha double sided felt. Feels tight and solid.

The pod on the left side of the instrument cluster vibrated on mine. The dealer stuffed some foam in there. Vibrato bye-bye!

Glad it worked out. Having someone open up the instrument cluster really makes me nervous.

My rattle is also only under hard acceleration, but it seems to come from right in front of me, not from the center console.
