Default A first for me.

I have had thirtyeight new cars in my 69 years and this is a first.

We are pulling out of a gas station Sunday, and a guy in a Jeep Cherokee puts his head and shoulders out the window of his car and yells loud enough for everyone in the station to hear, GREAT CAR.

I had a similar experience last week, an older man of color pulls up along side of me at a stop light, gets my attention and says, " Sir, you are truly blessed". I was speechless, and all I could reply was "yes" before the light turned green.

That brought a smile to my face all day and still does.

It is people like who act like that who help to make this country such a good place to live. That is the opposite of jealous envy - it is so much better to see people appreciate and love those things which are good.

Comments are always nice and seem to be frequent with these icons. I always respond, by word or toot of horn when necessary.

In my humble (and totally biased) opinion, there are few cars more striking than a well maintained Corvette....... of any year. Even slick European, more expensive cars get attention, but are so far out of reach of the public, that they are merely curiosities.

A Corvette, though, is a reachable dream, the original American sport car, whose unique body lines will always unmistakenly identify it, and keep people admiring, dreaming and wishing.

Daily driver or weekender, all we need to do is keep it looking good......

Nice ride........ drive it in good health

The UPS guy told me I was living right as I pulled into the driveway as he was making a delivery. It makes you feel good.

Was the man pink, purple, violet, or orange? What in the world does "man of color" mean?

Makes you feel good, and makes you feel like you are "blessed". Stories around here on the radio today of people pawning rings and household items just to afford gas to get to work and we are lucky enough to be able to afford $50K cars and the gas to run them...

On the way out to VIR this past Saturday for the Grand Am race I passes a guy in a white Civic (stock) and as I was on the inside of him he looked over, smiled, and gave me a big thumbs up. I smiled and nodded back then dropped 3rd gear to let him see her run.

On the way to work this morning a guy in some old beater was next to me at a light and was all smiles... said, "Beautiful ride young man." I said thank you very much and putted on about my way.

Being on this forum sometimes I get jealous of the people w/ the newest vette or the big motor, or the fanciest new wheels, but moments like these make you realize how lucky we are just to have a Corvette period.

Default OK - I was a commenter!!

I was outside of a Starbucks the other day and an older guy had obviously been joyriding in his silver C5 Vert. It looked just great in the afternoon light. He'd probably done some work cleaning it up that afternoon. I was yacking away on my cell phone, but as I passed by him said "Nice Car".

I don't think I'd ever done such a thing before -- but the reaction was wonderful. While he did the manly "Thanks man", his face broke into a huge smile.

It felt nice and made me wonder why I'd never thought to do such a thing before.

When I first brought my C6 home, the kids down the street (doing jumps on their bikes), stood and started clapping. I was kinda embarrassed, but it was cool.

Now hold on a minute. If the gas keeps going up, we too are going
to be raising a stink. Let see what the profit reports from the major fuel dealers is this weekend.
