My home link apparently "forgot" the code for one of my two garage dooor openers..... the other one works ok
I have not tried to reprogam it yet ....
Anybody else have this problem?
BTW this is the first problem with my ZO6

If your opener is a newer model with rolling codes they may just have gotten out of synch. On the back of the opener there is a learn/teach button. You press that, then press the button on the car you want the opener to respond to. Usually the opener will blink it's light once or twice to confirm it has accepted the code coming from your car. You may have to re-learn the home link button first and then do this procedure if the procedure alone doesn't work.
Mine programs just fine, then when I program my wife's Ford Freestyle, the C6 quits working. Then when I reprogram the C6, the Freestyle quits working. They both have the visor Homelink. I emailed Homelink and they said to put both cars in the driveway, approx 15 feet from the garage door, and call them. I haven't had time yet. Hopefully somebody can figure out how to do it and post.

I have Homelink in my Saab as well as the C6 and both work, so it's not some inherint flaw in the design. It could be the way Homelink works (or doesn't as it appears) with your particular opener. My openers are both Sears with the newer "billion" rolling codes.
Do you have the rolling code thing where you have to press the button on the back of the opener? You might want to post the make & model of your opener... can usually find online docs that way for troubleshooting.
I just put a new keyless entry pad on my garage and in the manual on it it stated in bold letters When Programming - DO NOT HOLD THE LEARN BUTTON IN on the back of the opener or it will erase codes in other programmed devices........just a thought.

Don't know what kind of opener you have for your garage. I just bought a new Sears and after programming homelink, my two portable controllers wouldn't work. In order to program homelink, I not only had to hold up one of the portables near the button as required, but had to open one side of the main garage door opener, push the "learn" button and then go back out to my car and push the homelink button. After that, in order to program the portable units, I followed the garage door opener instructions - held the learn button in until the small built in light blinked and then pushed the opener part of the portable unit. Did this for both portable units, now everything works o.k. Appears all you need to do is locate your learn button on the main unit.
