Just took the top off of my 06 today for the first time and placed it in the trunk. Went for a drive for about 3 hours in about 78 degree weather through skyline hills in san Mateo County, got home and placed the top back on and the passenger side sites a little above the rubber on the front and rear like its not seated all the way, but it is. tried resetting it many times, its locked in properly it just doesn’t sit right on the passenger side anyone experience this? I am going to try and take it down to the dealer this week. Thanks everybody

yep...the first time i ever did it, the peg on the driver's side caught the plastic sheet that wraps the targa bar. was keeping the driver side from sitting correctly.

We did 12 hours yesterday with top off about 30 % at highway speeds it was my first time due to the weather in SF Bay area. I thought it was not bad at all noise wise. Obviously it is not as quiet but no to no buffeting and only time it was really bad was around semi's.
FWIW and it may not apply in this instance....I have a 2005 C6 Coupe and recently received a 'voluntary customer satisfaction' notice from Chevrolet telling of defective painted roof panels in certain 2005 model Corvettes. It explains certain problems and symptoms including what I call excessive stress noises eminating from the roof panel. The dealership will try to correct the problem with adhesive foam and if not successful, they will replace the defective roof panel. I'm taking my car in on Tuesday so I'll see if they can successfully eliminate the annoying 'stress' noises.

totally different issue, but relevant. I decided to wait on mine, since I had no problems, and I would rather replace than get that foam. First hot day, I came out and got a loud pop when I started driving. now it creaks and the back end is definitely delaminating. Taking it in soon for the replacement.
So that was you and your wife I saw up there at the lookout point. I was the one in the Victory Red coupe taking my mom for a spin (visiting from SoCal).
